Daddy’s little princess, Emilia Janae Anders, was born at 9:51 PM on Sunday, July 30th. She weighed 7 lbs 2 oz and was 19.5 inches long. Mom did great and her and baby are doing well.

Pat and I went to the Neurolux last Saturday to see Marci Simon’s band, Junior Private Detective, and they rocked! They have a unique sound which is described as math pop (whatever that means)…so check em out. Their two cds are Square and Erase.

Sun Kil Moon Does Modest Mouse

Just picked up Sun Kil Moon’s latest and it’s awesome. Mark Kozelek’s voice and style are so different from Modest Mouse’s that unless someone told you they were all Modest Mouse songs, you might be half way through the album before you noticed it. Defiently worth checking out. I’d even go as far to say this is one of the best cover albums I’ve ever listened to. I especially liked his version of Convenient Parking and Truckers Atlas.
